Infinity Pool
Infinity pools create an elegant, seamless edge blending with the horizon.
An infinity pool, also known as an infinity edge pool, is a breathtaking option that creates an illusion of water extending into the horizon. This design works best when situated on properties with a view, such as those on elevated terrains. The pool's design involves a hidden trough or basin where water flows over the pool edge, and it is then recirculated into the pool.
This type of pool requires precise engineering and construction to achieve the desired effect, along with regular maintenance to keep the overflow system working efficiently. Infinity pools are typically custom-built and can be made from various materials including concrete and fiberglass. They often add a luxurious and modern touch to any home.
Despite their visual appeal, infinity pools demand more consideration in terms of site planning and initial costs. They can include additional features like lighting and heating systems to make them usable year-round. Proper maintenance includes ensuring the overflow system is clear and functional and the main pool equipment is in good working order.
Keep it well
- Ensure the infinity edge mechanism is free of debris and functioning correctly.
- Regularly check for leaks given the unique design of an infinity pool.
- Maintain correct water levels to avoid damage to the edge and recirculation system.
- Clean the catch basin regularly to prevent algae and debris buildup.
